Vikash Bhuwania

Vikash leads IT Advisory and Risk Services at ADEPTS. He advises boards, audit committees and finance leadership on technology risk, internal control and regulatory compliance — the work that determines whether a control environment holds up under supervisory scrutiny.

He spent eighteen years across PwC, EY, Deloitte and KPMG in India, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom, building depth in technology risk consulting, ICOFR and crypto assurance. That span matters less than what it produced: a working knowledge of how regulators in three markets actually test a control, rather than how a framework describes it.

His engagements have run across ADGM, FSRA, VARA, MiCA, DFZA, SCA, NCEMA, CBUAE, ADHICS and DHA — regimes that overlap in principle and diverge sharply in practice. He is frequently brought in where an organisation is regulated by several at once and needs a single control framework that satisfies all of them.

Vikash advises clients on UAE e-invoicing readiness, where the mandate is less a tax change than a systems and data programme with a statutory deadline. He also leads ADEPTS’ work on AML, CFT, sanctions, FATCA, CRS, GDPR and data privacy compliance.

He is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and holds the CISA and CISM designations.
